Arcare Codsall House
The Brief
Arcare Codsall House wanted a full interior refresh — everything from the main lounge, kitchens, reception, corridors, and assisted bathroom, to eight self-contained apartments. The goal was to create spaces that felt welcoming, homely, and practical, while also meeting the special safety needs of some residents.
Our Approach
We took the project from first concept to final fit-out, designing each space to feel comfortable, stylish, and easy to live in. Communal areas were made warm and inviting, while the eight apartments were tailored for independent living. Two apartments were designed to full anti-ligature specification, where every piece of furniture, artwork, and window dressing was carefully selected to be safe yet welcoming.
We managed the whole process — from design, sourcing, and coordination, to the installation — ensuring that every space flowed naturally and felt cohesive, without losing personality or comfort.
The Outcome
The finished home feels inviting, practical, and truly lived-in. Communal spaces encourage connection, apartments feel private and comfortable, and the specialist safety apartments show that thoughtful, secure design can still feel warm and personal.
Katen Sharma, Area Manager had this to say:
“We’re a residential complex care provider based in the Midlands. We used Amara Hammond on our most recent refurbishment project including the supply of anti-ligature appropriate furniture, window dressings and wall art. T hey are knowledgeable, communicative and easy to work with. We’re very happy with the end result and we have already engaged Amara Hammond’s services for our next project. “
