The Brief

Oaklands Care Home required a full fit-out of their new bedroom extension, consisting of four distinct design schemes that needed to complement the existing home. The goal was to create bedrooms that were not only beautiful and welcoming but also practical, durable, and tailored to residents’ needs.

Our Approach

Our process began with detailed design research, drawing inspiration from the local area to develop colour palettes and schemes that felt familiar and comforting. We actively engaged with residents to understand their preferences and incorporate their feedback into the design, ensuring each room would be both functional and personal.

The project included the full service from concept to completion: developing the four unique design schemes, sourcing and coordinating all furniture, finishes, and décor, and ensuring a seamless rollout across the new bedrooms. Throughout, we carefully considered how the new spaces would integrate with Oaklands’ existing interiors, creating a cohesive yet distinctive feel for each area.

The Outcome

The finished bedrooms combine style, comfort, and practicality, offering residents environments that feel welcoming and thoughtfully tailored. Each room is long-lasting, easy to maintain, and designed to enhance daily life — balancing beauty with functionality. The completed extension reflects Oaklands’ commitment to resident wellbeing while celebrating its connection to the local community.
