Balhousie Alastrean Refurbishment

Balhousie Alastrean Refurbishment

It was a special privilege to work on this care home refurbishment project with Interior Architect, Lesley Birrell.  Steeped in a unique history and set in the heart of the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside, Balhousie Alastrean had originally been built to provide a home for ex-RAF servicemen and women and it was a real honour to include a tribute to them as part of our design for this care home.

As well as creating a luxury environment for the residents to relax in, we were able to incorporate unique features such as RAF gold buttons in some of the armchairs upholstered in the ‘RAF Blue’ faux leather.

Take a look at the video to see the full extent of how amazing this project really was!

On her of experience of working with us, Lesley had this to say:

“I have worked on several care home projects with Russell and have found his input on finding the right products and materials to be absolutely critical in pulling together the perfect design solution.

His extensive knowledge of care home environments, the product market and a willingness to always go the extra mile make his contributions particularly valuable when faced with tight timelines”
